One of best professional Hearthstone players in recent months has won his second major title in China this weekend.
Sebastian "Xixo" Bentert, who plays under the Natus Vincere banner, took the title by defeating China's XieShuai with a score of 4-2. Xixo takes home the $20,000 prize, one of the largest purses of the year so far.
After wins over Stan Cifka and XieShuai Xixo finished top of his group, but ended up falling down to the lower bracket after conceding the rematch against XieShuai. Eventually Xixo got his revenge, by winning in the grand final.
Hearthstone StarSeries was the latest tournament from the collaboration between Russian eSports powerhouse StarLadder and Chinese organizer i-League.
Xixo is considered to be one of the best players in the game, both on ladder and in tournament play. His first major title came in October 2015, when he won the eSports Arena Invitational and claimed a $10,000 prize.
With his second major tournament win, Xixo now joins players like Aleksandr "Kolento" Malsh, Thijs Molendijk and Adrian "Lifecoach" Koy on the short list of players who have claimed victories at multiple top tier events.
